Blu-Ray movies with unique iPhone

I really do not understand what the end will have to watch a movie with an iPhone, but both technologies are the protagonists of the following news: The production company Universal is launching a unique application for iPhone to control a content of a film extra.

The title is a special version of Fast & Furious, a film about cars, careers and money. Basically, the application of the iPhone will be able to handle some new features, such as a car that can be rotated 360 degrees over the phone or show some extra information. According to CrunchGear also opens extra content exclusive to iPhone users with this application and whose price has not yet been announced.

Assuming that the application fee, will have to buy a movie for each application to access the extra content? In a way it is logical and fair, pay more for new content. But a point that will lead to more debate, is that Universal is excluding those who do not have an iPhone or iPod Touch, despite paying the same thing for the film.
